Afternoon/Evening in Singapore Itinerary Help Please

Hi, my son (19) and I are travelling home via Singapore in April. I have mapped out a schedule below but would appreciate it if someone more knowledgable could cast their eye over it and let me know if it will work, if I have allowed enough time and if there is anything you would do differently, knowing the city. Thanks in advance for any help.

Flight lands at 12:40pm

Get bags and put into storage at airport (this saves a trip via the hotel to drop them off we can then carry a minimal rucksack only)

2pm Taxi (or MRT?) to Chinatown - Buddha Tooth Relic Temple & Sri Mariamman Temple

Hawker Centre lunch

4pm taxi (or MRT?) to Gardens by the Bay

Cloud Forest/Flower Dome in daylight (before 7pm)

MBS Skypark and/or OCBC Skyway - should we do both?

Spectra lightshow - at 8&9pm - watch from above?

Taxi to Hotel (currently Ibis Budget Bugis but A Hotel seems slightly cheaper at the moment so may swap)

Leave for airport at 5:30am (9am flight)

My son is very into F1. Is there anything worthwhile seeing/doing at the track location?
