SINGAPORE — Once your identity card (IC) has been successfully processed by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), you will need to collect it in person. This applies to first-time ICs, replacement cards, and ICs reissued due to updates (e.g., name change, damage).

Where to Collect Your Identity Card
Singapore citizens and permanent residents must collect their IC at one of the following locations, unless otherwise advised by ICA:
• ICA Building – Registration Services Centre
10 Kallang Road, #02-01/02
Singapore 208718

ICA may also offer collection at designated post offices depending on the service selected during application.

Collection Appointment
You will normally receive a notification (via SMS and/or email) from ICA once your IC is ready for collection. The notification will include:
• the collection date and time
• the location
• any documents to bring

Do not go to collect your IC before receiving this notification.

Documents Required
When collecting your identity card, you must bring:
• your notification message
• valid photo identification (e.g., passport, driver’s licence)
• the notification slip or reference number provided by ICA

ICA may refuse release of the card if you do not present the required documents.

Collection on Behalf of Another Person
In most cases, IC collection must be done by the individual named on the card. However, if ICA allows an authorised representative to collect on your behalf, the representative must present:
• an authorisation letter
• their own photo ID
• the recipient’s notification message

Always check ICA’s instructions if collecting through a representative.

Important Notes
• Collection may be refused if the scheduled appointment is missed without prior notification.
• The identity card must be collected within the timeframe specified in your ICA notification.

Keeping your IC up to date and collected on time ensures access to essential services, travel documents, and official identity verification when required.
