Hi,

I'm on a plane from Christchurch trying to make sense of the itinerary that I created a few months ago.

Due to some complicated life challenges I haven't been able to plan with my usual research and detail so, I would really appreciate some help with my rough outline.

Background information is that my husband and I are are 62/61. We have been travelling in NZ for 3 weeks and have both been laid flat with the flu (now recovered) so, we're generally fit and able.

I would like to include some chill time to help us ease back into real life (and finish or flu recovery) when we return to the UK late on Thursday but, this is our first trip to Singapore and there is SOOO much to see and do.

This is my outline plan so far -

Arrive at Changi at 5.40 pm. Based on great advice on a separate post we hope to check in at our hotel, Rendezvous, and then walk to Raffles (Long bar?). After the required Singapore Sling, walk to the Helix bridge for the 8.45 pm Spectra light show.

- walk around bay, possibly eat and take MRT or a taxi back to hotel.

Day 1 (tomorrow)

Hopefully leave hotel around 9am and head for Chinatown to wander and visit Thian Hock Keng temple and Buddhist Temple. (Is Muscat Street in this area?)

Lunch at Maxwell Hawker (opp temple?)

Early afternoon

Clarke Quay for river cruise (do we need to book?)

Back to hotel for a swim, rest and change of clothes.

Evening

Sultan Mosque

Haji Lane

Eat

Blujaz café for happy hour!

Back to hotel

Day 2

Gardens by the Bay

I'm a bit confused here!

I think we'd like to do the Skyway, Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. Do we need to book them all? How long can we expect to spend doing all of them?

Late lunch

Afternoon

- Marina Bay Sands observation deck (and Shoppes if time?)

Dinner (if needed)

- Rain Oculas at either 8 pm, or 11 pm

Day 3

Sentosa

Is this a full day?

If we've seen the main sights ie light shows, then some time at Sentosa would be good to possibly do the cable car ride (I've read to do this as a ride and leave by the monorail?)

We'd also like to do the Skywalk and Luge and, possibly the Oceanarium or Nature trail.

This all seems a LOT!

Is it remotely doable? Or do I need to streamline?

I don't think I've allowed much time for just mooching and resting, but I don't know what to miss out!

The important things are - Chinatown, MBS, Little India, the light shows, a boat cruise, Gardens by the Bay, some shopping, food, wandering.

I haven't included the zoo because I'm less keen on seeing animals in captivity since seeing them free in South Africa last year however, I've heard the zoo is amazing. So, I'm open to suggestions as to whether we swap the zoo with Sentosa.

Our flight home is at 12.45 pm on Thursday, so we'll get to Changi early enough to visit Jewel.

I appreciate I've asked lots and that my plan is vague so, any help is very much valued 🙏
