A Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) allows eligible foreigners to stay in Singapore for an extended period beyond short-term visits. The pass is suitable for spouses, children, or other family members of Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents who wish to reside in Singapore for an extended period. (ica.gov.sg)

Who Can Apply?

The following individuals may be eligible to apply for an LTVP:
• Spouse of a Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident
• Unmarried child under the age of 21 of a Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident
• Support Person who is essential to the care of a Singapore citizen or PR
Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis, and additional criteria may apply. (ica.gov.sg)

Benefits of an LTVP
• Allows the holder to reside in Singapore long term
• Can be renewed before expiry
• May provide access to certain government services and education for children
An LTVP does not automatically grant work rights; a separate Work Pass or Letter of Consent is typically required if the pass holder intends to work in Singapore. (ica.gov.sg)

Required Documents

Typical documents required for an LTVP application include:
• Completed application form
• Valid passport and recent passport-sized photos
• Proof of relationship (e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate)
• Additional supporting documents as requested by ICA
Documents not in English must be accompanied by certified translations. (ica.gov.sg)

Application Process

Applications are submitted online via the ICA’s e-Service portal. Applicants need to log in with a Singpass account, complete the form, upload supporting documents, and submit the application for processing. (ica.gov.sg)

Processing Time and Outcome

Processing times vary depending on individual circumstances. Applicants will be notified of the outcome once a decision has been made. If approved, the LTVP will be issued and linked to the applicant’s travel document. (ica.gov.sg)

Important Notes
• An LTVP holder must ensure their pass is valid at all times and submit renewal applications before expiry.
• If the pass holder intends to work, a separate work authorization must be obtained.
• ICA may request further documents or interviews as part of the assessment. (ica.gov.sg)
