Loss or Damage of Student’s Pass (Singapore)
When to Apply
You should apply for a replacement Student’s Pass if:
• Your pass has been lost or stolen
• Your pass has been damaged and is no longer legible
• Your pass is defaced, making it unusable for travel or verification
Replacing your Student’s Pass as soon as possible helps avoid complications with immigration checks, enrolment formalities, or school administration.
Required Documents
When applying for a replacement, you typically need:
• A completed Student’s Pass replacement application form
• Your passport
• A police report (if the pass was lost or stolen)
• A recent passport-sized photograph
• Supporting documents as required by ICA or your school
Damaged passes should be submitted with the application when possible. Documents not in English should be accompanied by an official English translation.
Application Process
Replacement applications must be submitted to ICA either online or in person, depending on ICA’s current procedures. Start by preparing the required documents and completing the application form. ICA will review your submission, verify your identity and circumstances, and process the replacement.
Fees
A replacement fee is charged for issuing a new Student’s Pass. The exact fee amount is set by ICA and must be paid when lodging your application.
Processing Time
Processing times vary, but applications are typically processed within a few working days after ICA receives all required documents and payment. ICA will inform you when your replacement pass is ready.
Important Notes
• The replacement pass must be carried whenever you are in Singapore and must be presented during immigration clearance.
• If your Student’s Pass is lost outside Singapore, report the loss immediately to the local police and obtain a police report to support your application.
• Always keep your Student’s Pass in a safe place to avoid loss or damage.
