Night Safari
Located next to the Singapore Zoo in the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, Night Safari stretches across lush, tropical terrain. It is home to over 1,000 animals representing more than 100 species, including rare and endangered creatures such as fishing cats, clouded leopards, civets, hyenas and slow lorises. Throughout the park, subtle lighting and careful landscape planning allow animals to be seen without disrupting their natural rhythms, giving visitors an authentic glimpse into nocturnal life.
A signature highlight is the tram ride, which takes guests on a guided journey through different geographical zones of the park. Narrated commentary enriches the experience with insights into animal behaviour and habitat. For those who prefer to explore on foot, well-marked walking trails such as the Leopard Trail, Fishing Cat Trail and East Lodge Trail offer up-close views of animals that may be active on their own schedules.
Night Safari also features several keeper talks and animal presentations throughout the evening, which provide educational content on wildlife conservation and the habits of specific species. Dining options within the park range from casual eateries to themed restaurants, allowing visitors to enjoy local and international cuisine during their visit.
The park typically opens in the early evening and runs until late at night, making it ideal for an after-dinner activity. Most visitors spend 2–4 hours, though wildlife enthusiasts may stay longer to catch multiple trails and shows. Advance ticket booking is recommended, especially during peak travel seasons, to secure entry at preferred time slots. With its blend of adventure, education and wildlife immersion, Night Safari remains one of Singapore’s most memorable attractions.
